Rebounding or bouncing on a rebounder is a fun and different way to get healthy and fit. You’ve probably seen this piece of indoor exercise equipment before. It’s also commonly called a mini-trampoline as well as a rebounder trampoline.
Not only is this a good way to help you lose weight, but you can also increase metabolism, build muscle, and relieve stress. A rebounder lets you lose weight — and gain a lot more that’s beneficial to you.
With so much exercise equipment available for you to use, why would you select a rebounder over treadmills and other fitness devices? What makes a it so different and such an effective weight loss and fitness tool? I can give you a good list of what it offers right here:
1 Fun. Most days, exercising is boring and tedious. No one wants to do it and it’s very hard to stay motivated. Rebound exercise is fun and it taps into your inner child. You can listen to your favorite music or watch a movie while you’re doing it – which adds even more fun.
2 You can jog, bounce, twist and make up your own moves. You can purchase videos that give you rebounding routines to follow. Your options for exercising are numerous. Just make sure that you exercise consistently and move.
3 Rebounding is a very user-friendly way to work out. It’s easy on your joints when you bounce on a well-built rebounder, so you reduce the risk of joint injury greatly. It also provides an effective full body workout involving every muscle group (including the most important muscle – the heart) and it even increases your health on a cellular level.
4 It’s great for weight loss. There are other benefits to rebound exercise especially weight loss. That’s because many reports indicate that, for example, you can burn 11 times more calories rebounding as you can if you spend the same amount of time walking. It’s even better than jogging; you can get three times the calorie burn as the same amount of time spent jogging does.
And when you’re burning those calories, you’re also building muscle. The great thing about muscle is that the more lean muscle tissue you have, the more effectively your metabolism is going to work. That means that you will keep burning calories better and longer even after you’re done exercising.
