Losing weight becoming healthy and fit requires more than just dieting; it requires a new lifestyle. Let me explain further the difference between just dieting to lose weight and losing weight to be healthier and feel great.

For some dieting never seems to work, at least not long term. I you have tried every fad diet in the book and the pounds disappear and return over and over again, it’s time to take another course of action.

If you really want to maintain a weight that is healthy for you, you must start with a decision to stick with your plan. Yes, a plan is required, A change in diet and an exercise regimen should be part of your lifestyle change.

Please do no confuse eating healthy with eating food that is not tasty. There are tons of recipes to help you in your plight to lose weight. With more and more people focusing on healthy living you can find celebrities, chefs, and others creating recipes low in fat without being low in taste.

The biggest problem is avoiding that special craving; your weakness. This can be soft drinks, cakes, cookies, candy; whatever it is, it must be eliminated. Now this does not mean you can never had a piece of cake for the rest of your life, it just means you have to choose to limit these high calorie goodies.

One thing you will notice is an increased energy level. When you eat better you not only start to look better; you also start to feel better.

This new ways of eating will take some getting used to. Try new seasonings, use lemon and pepper; basil, oregano, garlic, etc. The only way to tell if you like something is to try it.

Now it is time to exercise. Keep in mind that exercise does not mean joining an expensive gym, but simply moving. For those who have not exercised in years start out slow by taking walks. If you do not want everyone to know that you are exercise, drive to your local mall and do a few laps. You can gradually increase your time or add additional exercises to your routine.

It will be difficult in the beginning. Losing weight becoming healthy is the right way to lose the pounds and start looking and feeling better about yourself.
